Dear all
I am bringing to you a great tribal festival that takes once in two years in the month of February. Why we call it great because of the great following for this festival. People in different parts of the country gather in the village called Medaram in Warangal District of AP and Government makes elaborate arrangements beside heavy security arrangements for this festival.
Over and above 10 million people attend to this great event. They offer "Bangaram - Gold" to the goddess and it is nothing but Jaggery. You can see in the photographs people offering jaggery to the extent of their weight to the goddess.
It is extremely difficult to visit the main shrine on the 3 days of festival, but if one is interested, they can visit the place and pay respects to the Gadde - in other words to the chair of Goddess. On all other days, there will not be much rush or gathering so that people can conveniently visit and stay there for a couple of hours.
